Transactional Exceptions

Transactional messages, or messages that include receipts or confirmation of transactions, have unique advantages over promotional messages. They can be sent 24x7 and even to numbers in the DNC List. This is due to the special nature of the messages. They contain crucial information that needs to be sent immediately by the organisation and seen instantly by the customer. Not every message can be categorised into a transactional message.

How Does DNC or DND Get Activated?

To add your number to NDNC Do Not Call Register India, you have to send an SMS to 1909.

Any telecom user can call or text "STOP" to 1909 to stop all promotional messaging. This generally takes 7-10 days to confirm, and you will never be opted out automatically. One can also limit promotional messages by texting "STOP 5" to 1909, 5 representing Tourism. Therefore you will not receive any message from the tourism sector. 

What If I Still Receive UCC Calls After Registration?
